Alexis Murray was born and raised in Merion, Pennsylvania. After earning her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, Murray later completed her MFA at The School of Visual Arts in New York City, 2001.
Since 2007, Murray has lived in Venice and now works in Inglewood. Her work has been shown in many cities across the US including New York, Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles and is included in many private collections. Murray’s work has also been presented as illustration in varying forms such as CD art, New York Times Op-Ed, and most recently, a State coin.
